Igor Feinberg
Co-Owner and Founder
Igor Feinberg, co-owner and founder of Stand For Vision and its sister company Case For Vision, brings decades of expertise in assistive technology. His finely tuned proficiency spans low-vision and braille devices, cultivated through extensive collaboration with end-users and creators in the field. This direct involvement has granted him profound insights into user needs and the decision-making process when selecting the most practical and reasonable technologies. With a notable career history that includes leadership roles at ABISEE Inc., Perkins School for the Blind, Orbit Research LLC, and a stint as CEO of Insidevision Inc., a leading provider of Braille and low-vision products, Igor's unwavering focus is on democratizing access to assistive technology. He strives to offer affordable and user-friendly alternatives in a traditionally expensive market. Alongside his dedicated team, Igor leads a collective of passionate individuals committed to making a positive impact in the field of assistive technology.
Pete De Vasto
Pete De Vasto has extensively used refreshable Braille displays throughout his long career in data processing. His work included helping companies like Apple Computing and Adobe Systems as they strive to make their products accessible. Now retired, he has provided technical support and consulting for the VarioUltra line of displays since early 2020. He is also the moderator of a listserv for users of the VarioUltra Braille displays.
He currently lives in the Portland, OR, area, and among his other interests is an extreme passion and love for aviation, airports, and airplanes. He is currently involved with management at Portland International Airport, assisting them as they renovate the passenger terminal entirely. A big part of his activity includes helping to set up a mobile device app that will make it easier for blind or visually impaired passengers to pass through the terminal without needing assistance. Portland is the world's second airport to set up this kind of system.
Ralph Samek
Ralph Samek has over 25 years of sales and marketing experience providing assistive devices to blind or visually impaired people. Ralph is the founder and President of Woodlake Technologies Inc.; the company offers various low-vision and braille devices to Government agencies and individuals. Ralph has a master’s Degree in Business Administration. He has led sales and marketing teams for numerous information and assistive technology startups. He strongly supports leveling the playing field for people with disabilities through assistive technology solutions.
